Justin Niessen - The Chef
Justin Niessen moved from Curaçao to the Netherlands when he was eighteen to study at the hotel school. Not only because of his Caribbean roots, the master chef presents Caribbean soul food with passion. But precisely because it is so diverse. “I love the combination of Caribbean food with a twist. I have fond memories of my childhood, when as a little boy I could regularly be found in the Mondi with my friends. I use the feeling of freedom and tranquility that this environment gives me as inspiration to create new dishes.”
Mariska Nunes - Managing Director at Corendon Hotels & Resorts
Mariska Nunes is Managing Director at Corendon Hotels & Resorts and previously launched initiatives such as the Corendon Academy and the single parent travel concept Maris Life. She is also a board member of the Smart Zwart Collective, a dynamic and influential network consisting of professionals of colour, who are connected through inspiration and stimulation, and the Corendon Foundation.
Kiana Cova - Brand, Marketing & PR Manager
Kiana Cova is the “creative brain” behind the Mondi brand and was hired by Mariska and Justin in October 2021. Her background includes two bachelors, one in Business Administration and one in International Business as well as a Masters in Luxury Brand Management. Her experience in diverse industries from events to fashion to hospitality, combined with her vision for the brand has catapulted Mondi into one of Amsterdam’s most popular hot spots.
Luigi Lamparella - F&B Manager
Luigi Lamparella, our newest F&B manager has been in The Netherlands since 2006, where he began his career in hospitality after having worked in fashion. His passion and interest for hospitality have been ever-growing so he has recently decided to continue studying to continue building up knowledge.
